An old swayback barn with vintage trucks beside it. A snowy rustic Americana landscape with wonderful old barn.
I had visited this place a few times before and it appears every winter is taking its toll on the old swayback. The last time I visited it finally gave out and was merely a pile of old wood and shingles to be scrapped and sold to furniture makers and home builders. The old barn wood is frequently repurposed into various uses and items, from picture frames to bedroom furniture.
I miss seeing this old fellow as so many of these gems are slowly disappearing into ghosts of our agricultural history.
