Artist's Description

The Cooper was a skilled craftsman that produced barrels and containers of all kinds. In this photograph we are in the Cooperage, or Coopers workshop looking out towards the window. We can see the various tools, vessels, anvils, vice and metal hoops revealed by the window light. A wonderfully quaint and rustic scene from a time in the past.
