Description
The hatter in a 19th century hatters shop working on his next customers hat. A skilled trade that still exists and is highly regarded by many. The old world hatter created hats for many different people of different trades and occupations, each requiring a specific style to fit the need.
the hatter here is seen in his shop with hat molds, boxes and display stands.
The " mad hatter" came about when Mercury was used in the processes and the wearer of those hats became "insane" due to the mercury getting absorbed into their skin from wearing the hats often.
