Description
A black and white photo captured on 35mm film looking at the base of the Manhattan bridge from New York City. The Brooklyn bridge and full moon are seen in the distance.
The bridge was opened to traffic on December 31, 1909. It was designed by Leon Moisseiff who later designed the infamous original Tacoma Narrows Bridge that opened and collapsed in 1940.
This more unusual perspective looking at the bridge from the Manhattan side offers a clean slihouette of the span aganst the night sky, undisturbed by city skyline clutter.
